Before Glen made his big announcement that would see them defend their titles against not one or two but three teams come SHOW-DOWN IN DURBAN, we caught up with Brenda and Doris Koek to see how they were coming into their own as the Baronesses.
At the Clubhouse, both Brenda and Doris were taking turns showing off their skills as they navigated the practice circuit like badasses.
At the time, they believed that their opponents for the upcoming PPV were the previous Relay Barons cashing in their replay. Of course we’d later find out that that would not be the case. However despite that, from what FXQ saw on the Clubhouse track, it’s clear that the Koeks have this relay thing down.
Doris explained their strategy. “The trick is not to play the game but play the man — or woman. Everyone in a relay race is concerned with how fast they re-enter the race during their lap that they’re not paying attention to how their opponents are driving. If you can time things out against them, you’ll be unstoppable.”
With their winning strategy in place, we look forward to seeing them execute it as surely the challenge will lie in there being more than one opponent for the upcoming PPV.
