F-XQ was present when Glenwood Jacobs informed Thawn that if he wanted to claim the Throne again that he would have to earn it.
Glenwood told Thorne that both him and Jim Kieck had the bet claims to the Throne but that the #1 Claimant will only be named after a Best of Three Series.
Glenwood went on to say that while Thawn did defeat Jim to gain his current claim, Jim defeated him in return thus evening the score. As such, this series of 3 races will determine who has the right to face King Solo at the next PPV.
While the news seemed to enrage Thawn, it did seem to delight fans as they got to see the continuation of the then-episodic grudge between these two after Jim was caught flirting with Thawn's girl.
When we reached Jim for comment, the former King only smiled, indicated his own delight in the showrunner’s decision.
