The Formula-X Season Two Grand Finale

And just like that, ladies and gentlemen, Formula-X presents to you: the final episode of Monday Night Fuel, Season Two.

It has been one hell of a season that has seen a lot of ups and a lot of downs but despite (or in spite) of it all has proven to be even bigger than the first.

In a season that has seen the crowing of not 1, not 2 but 3 Formula-X Kings; played home to three 12 Rounds Derbies and just as many gauntlet races, there is no denying that Season Two was a thrill ride from beginning to end.

However just like Season One, the season is not over until The Second Formula-X Grand Prix takes place.

The Second Formula-X GP will have the honor of being the grand finale of Season Two and will have all F-X racers vying to end the season with a victory at the event.

If last year’s Formula-X Grand Prix was anything to go by, then the second one will surely live up to being the Main Event of Motorsport, the Crown Jewel of Sports Entertainment and the Granddaddy of Them All.

However before we get to the Grand Prix, there is just one more episode of Monday Night Fuel to get through as the F-X Racers look to gain valuable momentum before the GP.

The Abominable Seduction vs. The Avatar

As the highway to The Formula-X Grand Prix becomes shorter and shorter, the fans have become hungrier and hungrier to know more about the racecard.

One of the more mysterious elements of the racecard is the feature-race which has now officially been sanctioned between the Formula-X King and the newest F-X recruit.

While we have yet to learn the name of the #1 Claimant, we have learnt that they are in fact a woman and we have learnt the name of her engine: The Avatar.

The Avatar is said to be made of imported parted from India and is decorated with the colors of India being orange and blue (although we don’t know which is more prominent).

While many still wonder if this newcomer deserves to have a spot in the feature-race of the biggest pay-per-view of the season, there is no denying that the sheer hype behind this new racer is pulpable.

Having heard all of what the doubters had to say, King Solo Magubane went to the middle-stage at the top of the hour to address them.

“I know many of you think that the feature-race of The Second Formula-X Grand Prix might be less than stellar. But quite frankly for me , I feel that this is going to be one of the toughest challenges I have ever faced.”

King Solo explained that he knew nothing about the #1 Claimant: not her style, not her fortitude, not her tenacity. He went on to say that it’s one thing to take someone on in a drag race when you’re the Duchess, but taking someone on when there’s 20 laps for anything to happen was anther thing.

While it’s a bit early to say, it’s possible that the King might have single-handedly silenced all the doubt.

The Second Formula-X Grand Prix Feature Race

It is never a good sign when the top guy in the Series is not a happy camper. And that was exactly the case when King Solo Magubane took to the middle-stage at the top of the hour to vent his frustrations.

“When I arrived at the Fuel Speedway tonight, Glenwood Jacobs saw me, he saw the look on my face and he asked me what’s wrong and I told him. When he’d heard what I said he said that he was going to fix the problem but before he did he wanted me to come out here and tell everyone because  in F-X there’s no veil so here goes.”

The King then explained that the reason he was frustrated was because he believed that he was being overlooked for The 2nd Formula-X Grand Prix. In fact, he believed the entire feature-race was being overlooked because no one from the Club Committee has said anything about it.

The Formula-X King then invited both Glen and Moodswing out to “fix the problem” at which point the showrunners took the stage.

Glen explained that he and Moodswing had spoken and that they were going to have a #1 Claimant’s Race tonight to determine his opponent for The Second Formula-X GP.

However the F-X King quickly established that that would not be good enough. He went on to say that everyone knows that there are 2 things that are paramount in Formula-X to succeed: skill and popularity and that while he had both he needed someone who had at least just as much popularity in order for the race to be the must-see event of the night.

The King then shocked the world by declaring that there was only one person with that much hype at the moment: the mysterious “royal” newcomer.

May 3rd - Season 2

4 Weeks from the Main Event of Motorsport

The wait is almost over. We are 4 weeks away from the Crown Jewel of Sports Entertainment: The Second Formula-X Grand Prix And we now know who will be walking into the biggest event of the year wearing the Crown.

King Solo Magubane defended his Formula-X throne against Styles Sithole and what a race it was. While there have been many a thrilling feature-race on pay-per-view here in the Formula-X Series, none has ever been so cinematically appealing as this one.

Both racing competitors brought their A-game and signature methods: King Solo with his bread-and-butter driving tactics; Styles with his smooth stylish skills.

While the King has faced fierce competition before, it seemed that his title had never been in more jeopardy than it was 8 days ago. According to Captain Khumalo, this had to do with the Claimant seemingly outclassing the King as they circled the track looking for the win.

However in the end, it was the King that proved why he was the best. And now he heads into the biggest stage in Formula-X with the most sovereign prize in tact.

It has not gone unnoticed that last week Monday, the Fuel Speedway was closed for business as it respected the long weekend that comprised of Freedom Day.

However unlike last season where this 1 week absence had caught the fandom by surprise, this season, the fans had expected it, some even thanking F-X for the break on The Formulary.

As we make a B-line for the Main Event of Motorsport, one can’t help but wonder just what in the world the Commissioners of Fuel have in store for us as they look to make this year’s major event even bigger than last years

April 19th - Season 2

The Family Man Returns to Fuel

After a 2 week absence, John Kloof returned to Monday Night Fuel. As a former King and driver of the engine known as The Big Boot, it was only fitting that his return be nothing small.

Kloof took to the middle-stage at the top of the hour to address the proposal made by Mandla Xulu. Making special note to mention all the hardship that the “Steamroller” had put him through going all the way back to the beginning of the season, Kloof finally came to the point.

“While I am not eager to do it and I know that I cannot trust Mandla, I have decided that I am going to take him up on his off and team with him.”

Kloof continued by saying that he had already made up his mind by the time he arrived and had told Moodswing and Glen about his decision and they had both decided that Mandla and himself would be challenging Longitude & Latitude for the Relay Baron titles at SUNDAY NIGHT EASTER.

It was at this point that the live crowd in attendance exploded with cheers as just 6 days from the upcoming pay-per-view, they were going to get to see this new partnership at work.

With a storied past like theirs, it is possible that this race could be one of the greatest relay baron races of all time as the two feature-racers take on not only the 1st team to ever win the Relay Baron titles but arguably (and self-proclaimed) best relay team on the F-X roster.

As if to cement the agreement, Kloof was joined on stage by none other than Mandla himself as the men shared a hand shake thus formerly beginning one of the most talked about partnerships in F-X history.

April 12th - Season 2

The Easter Demolition Drag

It has always been assumed that due to the importance of the Formula-X Crown that the Duke (or Duchess) of Drag title will always be overlooked. Well this week proved that that was not the case at all.

Across all of F-X social media, all anyone could talk about was the drag race that was going to take place at the upcoming pay-per-view: SUNDAY NIGHT EASTER.

It all started last week when Penny, Duchess of Drag said that she wanted a challenge for S.N.E. When Moodswing interrupted her to tell her about her obligation to face Dime at the upcoming PPV, Penny told him that she wanted to add two more opponents and make it a 4-Way Drag race.

While Moodswing would be left with nothing to say, his answer would basically be dropped in his lap when Touch Mkhize invited his fellow victors, Brenda Koek and Dime, from the support-races on last week’s episode of Monday Night Fuel who would proceed to antagonize each other.

The Club President did eventually make a ruling when he announced on Formula-Feed that the winners of the support racers from last week would all be challenging Penny for her title at SUNDAY NIGHT EASTER.

While this certainly did not sit well with Dime — who was meant to have a one on one drag race for the title, it definitely sat well with the fans who were quick to point out that by his inclusion in the 4-Way, the stipulation of the One KM Derby 2 weeks ago is still technically in tact.

Furthermore, fans also pointed out that by having Penny defending her title against 3 opponents, it seems that the No Holds Barred Management from last season leading up to The F-X GP is back in full effect.

April 5th - Season 2

Back on the Highway to the F-X Grand Prix

It’s been a long time coming… but we are finally on the highway to The Formula-X Grand Prix.

Image sourced from hiclipart.com

The start of the highway was signified by the Formula-Feed announcement immediately following the Festival of the Fall pay-per-view that the marketing campaign for The Second Formula-X Grand Prix is away. And while the 8 week countdown to the Grand Prix begins, there is one more PPV still to come before we get there as we barrel towards SUNDAY NIGHT EASTER.

It’s been a long 2 week break since we last saw the Fuel Speedway but when we returned, all eyes were locked on the Crown Jewel of Sports Entertainment.

King Solo Magubane  has been one of the front-runners in paving the highway as he’s been posting pics and vids regarding what his immediate future will look like.

“I’m going to the Grand Prix, baby,” said the Formula-X King in his first post. The F-X King went on to post pics saying that he would be looking for a solid opponent for SUNDAY NIGHT EASTER claiming that he still has to earn his spot in the 2nd Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, other victors like Mandla Xulu expressed glee in being on the highway to the Grand Prix while others who weren’t as fortunate at the Festival of the Fall were still “on a high from being on the highway to the Grand Prix,” as expressed by JVZ.

Brenda and Doris Koek were more concerned about making sure a certain relay team don’t make it to the Grand Prix altogether by swearing revenge against Blackcat Mathunzi and the Feline, Fiona.

It looks like The Second Formula-X Grand Prix is shaping up to be bigger and better than it’s predecessor.
