Power Boost is Cheating
When John Kloof’s hand was raised in victory after his win against Mandla Xulu, not everyone was in a mood to celebrate. DM Xulu was one of these people.
After leaving the event saying that there would be hell to pay, it was clear that there was more coming. No one could have known that it would come this soon.
Just a few hours before Monday Night Fuel aired, DM Xulu had an interview — in stark contrast to his busy press conferences —where he told the newspaper reporter that while he has been educated in the legitimacy of the races by his son, he still believed that there was an injustice in the whole thing.
“The power-boost button. This function, it’s a mockery to not just all F-X racers but any man or woman who has ever donned a racing suit.” The Deputy Mayor went on to say that the power boost-button was the only reason that his son lost that race and that he was the clear winner.
When asked why he was so invested in a sports entertainment franchise, the DM went on to explain that the franchise had now been engrained in Azanian culture and that he was only following in Madiba’s footsteps who used rugby to bring the country together in 1994.
DM Xulu went on to say, if F-X wanted true legitimacy, it would do away with the power-boost button.
