We asked the question: Touch provided the answer. Early in the night, Jim Kieck was found flirting with Thorne’s girlfriend which led to a race between Jim and Thawn that Jim would win. While all of us wondered what had gotten into Jim (other than the usual), the answer would not be provided until the King himself showed up as a guest on Touching Base.
“I was the one behind Jim macking on Thawn's girlfriend. For some time, people have said you need two things to survive and strive in F-X: popularity and skill. Well as it turns out, there’s something else that can get you ahead: psychology.
“The ability to get into your opponent’s head is an underrated one in motorsport but it works as I just proved.”
While King Solo definitely proved that the distraction was enough to cost him the race on Monday Night Fuel, Touch and the rest of us await to see if it was enough of a distraction to give the King a win this Sunday at HEART-BREAK CITY.
