A REPLAY RACE A YEAR IN THE MAKING

When Mandla Xulu walked out on relay race partner, John Kloof over three months ago he said that he’d done it as an alternative way of helping Kloof: by facing off in a race that would make more money than he could imagine.

So when Mandla did it again last week, no one was sure what Mandla’s reasons were. The only information Mandla would divulge was that he wanted a race against Kloof at The Second Formula-X Grand Prix.

This week, Mandla took to the middle-stage to explain why he did what he did. “It’s all about the Grand Prix. That’s basically it. I did what I did because I want to face John Kloof at The Second Formula-X Grand Prix.

“But this isn’t like Heart-Break City where I’m trying to help John in my own way, no. This is for me. I don’t just want to put on one of the greatest races that Formula-X has ever seen, I want to avenge my loss from last year where John defeated me and took my Crown.”

Mandla went on to say that he had never truly forgiven Kloof for dethroning him and while he had been unable to beat him while Kloof was still King, it was clear that things had changed having earned 2 victories, 2 PPVs in a row.

Kloof could not be found for comment but most suspect he’ll have his answer next week on Monday Night Fuel.
