The 3-Way Feature Race Showdown
They say that when it’s all said and done, it just comes down to 1 second… the last second. But that was not the case with this epic three way encounter that saw 3 of the best racers slug it out for the most sovereign prize in sports entertainment.
The 20 Lap feature-race started off with a bang as reigning F-X King John Kloof, Jim Kieck and Mandla Xulu fought hungrily for the lead right off the bat. The audience understood that they were in for a treat when the first five laps saw a fury of overtakes making the hero of the 1st Third impossible to pick out.
The next ten laps saw an exchange of leadership between Mandla and the King as Jim Kieck took to drafting from the end, awaiting opportunity after opportunity. Jim managed to find it when he took the lead going into the final 5 laps as he fiercely blocked a hungry Mandla from regaining the lead.
The last lap saw the most action as the trio fought over control of the race. In an interesting turn of events, power-boost was taken out of the equation as all three of the racers had maxed out their juice by the time they hit the homestretch.
In the end, King Kloof managed to overcome his foes by passing between the claimants who were so busy competing with one another that the King managed to take the win for himself.
