Show-Down in Durban proved to live up to its reputation when Solo managed to do the impossible and complete the gauntlet.
So when Solo returned to Monday Night Fuel, everyone expected a hero’s welcome. Instead, Solo would learn that he was going to have to do it again.
The news came, at the top of hour, from the man that put him in “Gauntlet I” in the first place: Moodswing, who told him that “Gauntlet I” was such a success that he wanted Solo to do it again.
While Solo would cite fatigue as an excuse and decline, Moodswing ordered him to do it or else he’d never race in Auto 1 again so long as he raced for F-X.
So it was with reluctant will that Solo accepted his fate and looked to the racecard to find out who he’d be facing.
