January 25th - Season 2

 The Scramble Race Qualifiers

It’s all about the qualifiers on Monday Night Fuel as all eyes are on who can clock the fastest time for that pole position.

And while the average fan might think it a bore to watch the F-X racers take to the Speedway one at a time in an attempt to make the fastest time, they would have been wrong as the Qualifiers were an event unto themselves.

There were surprises such as the reveal of the man with the #1 Q-No. being none other than the Formula-X King, Jim Kieck, a shocking turn out of the King himself who took to the Speedway like any other racer, hell bent on coming out tops in the Scramble feature-race.

It seems that the F-X King and the Number One Claimant aren’t interested in making the same mistakes as their Season One counterparts who failed to enter the Scramble feature-race and thus ensured whomever lost would lose out twice.

And that wasn’t the only news as the Master Spell-Castor, Blackcat Mathunzi and the Feline, Fiona managed to secure their spot in the Relay Baroness title race this Sunday by outperforming the former Relay Barons in the Qualifiers.

As with the year before, THE SCRAMBLE is the only pay-per-view on the F-X Calendar that takes place in the Fuel Speedway. Tickets for the event have not only already sold out, but in a bizarre twist have actually been oversold as it has been reported that a whopping 6000 tickets have been sold.

The Club Committee Events Officer has recently revealed to us that they had anticipated how packed the Speedway would be for this event and will be constructing temporary stands for the excess 1000 people. Now that is a big event!

January 18th - Season 2

Formula-X's Darkest Hour

If you imagined that things could not get any worse for the ongoing protests that marred the F-X Series, think again.

“Amandla’s Rebellion”: once a marketable name, used as the template for the new storytelling techniques of the Series; now nothing more than a bane and a thorn in the side of everything Formula-X.

When Jim Kieck won the Crown, it was supposed to be a majestic moment as Kieck did something that no had been able to do for 196 days which was best John Kloof. Unfortunately, for all the protesters who have stubbornly refused to seize-fire, all they saw was “another white King being crowned”.

Those were the words that Mandla used in his vain attempts to quell this fire that had been started in the name of getting him back on the throne. Even his father was disgusted when he took to his platform and said that he “cannot and will not tolerate the issue of color being a subject in the debate of this sports entertainment’s franchise’s top prize.”

While it was indeed refreshing that DM Xulu was in fact speaking for the Formula-X Series for a change, it turned out that he had only made things worse when it came to answering questions and being unable to respond when a protester suggested that it was in fact the F-X Series that was being racist in trying to keep the Crown on Caucasians.

The unfortunate and mostly unspoken truth is that the F-X Series has always followed in the footsteps of Azania itself on being completely and utterly colorblind. It is a shame that the crowning of a new king is somehow seen as the Series making this beautiful province take a giant leap backwards.
