After King Solo Magubane and Thawn Oberhauser almost came to blows, Moodswing decided to allow them to each pick a racer and square off in a combat by champion.
In an interesting twist, King Solo picked the man he defeated for the title back at The Scramble, Jim Kieck which proved to be an ingenious choice as he joined us in the Winner’s Circle.
We asked Jim Kieck why he believed the F-X King chose him. “I know why you’re asking that. After all, I’m not only the man he defeated for the title; I’m also the man his claimant defeated to become the claimant and on top of that, I’m playing reserve at the next PPV.
“But the reason that I believe the King chose me to take on Thorne’s champion is because I have nothing to lose. And a man that has nothing to lose is unpredictable. Mandla, he had something to lose, so he lost. Thawn, the man he choose him, he had something to lose too. I didn’t so I won.”
With Jim’s win, the King gains valuable momentum going into the PPV.
