The Duchess and Mr. Monday Night

Drag races are known for two things: taking their toll on an engine and being over before you knew it. If you thought that a 40-something second race didn’t have much in the way to commentate about… you were dead wrong.

Penny, Duchess of Drag and Styles Sithole stood at the ready on the start line of the half mile stretch as they awaited the gun shot. When it hit, The Cursed Conundrum was off its line first making its way through 1st and 2nd gear smoothly in the sweet rev spots while The Dollar Coin lagged only by inches.

The Dollar Coin soon recovered as it entered 3rd and 4th gear, finally getting neck and neck with The Cursed Conundrum in 5th. The race was tight from 6th through 7th gear as they passed the 400m halfway mark.

Penny proved her experience when she over-revved her 8th gear slightly in order to make use of the power, gaining and maintaining the lead for the win.
