 The King Gets Checked

Last night saw the return of the King as King Kloof graced the Fuel Speedway with his presence. He

was quickly informed that he would be facing Thawn Oberhauser in the feature-race of the night and that it would be in the same fashion as Mandla: with power-boost banned.

The race, as reported by Miss Honeycomb, was tight in the opening minutes but Thawn soon took control going into the 2nd third of the race. Thorne controlled most of the 2nd third until King Kloof gained the lead in a good use of a drafting technique.

The 8th through 12th laps were led by the King until Thawn regained the lead at the beginning of the 13th lap. The race tightened as the 15th lap came around and just as the two rounded the last end at the beginning of the home stretch in the OG section of the Fuel Speedway, Thorne pulled ahead managing to secure the victory.

Unlike the race with Mandla Xulu which saw Thawn win the race in a dominant fashion, this race with the King was much more close and it’s a coin toss in deciding whether power-boost would have helped the King or not.

There have been similarities pointed out that Kloof could have benefitted from the 5 more laps afforded in PPV feature-races as Kloof’s previous feature-races have seen him gain control in the end.
