The Former Claimant
When Touching Base took to the airwaves following last night’s episode of Monday Night Fuel, Touch Mkhize told his audience how good it was to be back on the island. He welcomed his guest: former #1 Claimant for the F-X Crown: Mandla Xulu.
Ever the controversialist, Touch was quick to ask Mandla if “he was getting another claim or what?”
“Well you, and I’m sure the rest of the fan base, will be happy to know that I will not be getting another claim to the F-X Crown. After more than 3 races with John Kloof, I think I can finally admit that he is the better racer and the true F-X King.”
While this confession seemed to take Touch aback for a moment, Touch recovered by asking what this meant for the Rebellion named after him. Mandla addressed the protesters and told them that it was time to put things to rest and that while he did do good work as King, his time was over.
While unsure of how the followers will take this new order, it was refreshing to hear Mandla declare a seize-fire.
