It isn’t everyday that a racer manages to defeat someone with a title. In fact the list is rather short. So when JVZ walked into the Winner’s Circle having managed to beat the Duchess of Drag, there was a sense of awe to him.
We asked him how it felt to beat the Duchess of Drag. “Well as much as I’d like to say something badass about myself because I beat her, the truth is that this wasn’t a drag race so I’d give her a break. But I still think it says a lot that I beat someone who’s beaten me twice in Scramble Qualifiers. So that’s cool.”
JVZ’s relaxed and laid back attitude remained rock steady as we asked him about becoming a Gauntleteer once again.
“Oh man, that’s cool too. I’m gonna be one of the three gauntleteers again. Awesome. I just hope we get along better this time because, you know, we’re kinda on the same team.”
While they definitely had the same goal, we wondered if the other two gauntleteers would agree that they were on the same team.
