THE DEVIL’S ADVOCATE GET KISSED OFF

The Jim Kieck vs. Thawn Oberhauser feud is being hailed as the greatest rivalry in the history of Monday Night Fuel.

This distinction cannot be taken lightly as most of the biggest rivalries in the Formula-X Series have cumulated  in a pay-per-view showdown that saw some of them end and others turn a new chapter. This one is the exception.

Aside from the odd episodic grudge races, the Oberhauser/Kieck feud is the most memorable grudge affair “exclusive” to the Fuel Speedway.

While it has been noted that the Fuel Speedway seems to play second fiddle to the curvier, “more exciting” PPV tracks, the Fuel Speedway has always been the home to the F-X racers and thus holds a special place in the hearts of all F-X fans. So seeing 2 feature-racers doing battle on the Speedway has inadvertently brought prestige to the Monday night track.

Some fans have said that it’s ironic that both F-X racers lost their “Loser Plays Reserve” races last week, striving to go to PPV when they seem to be doing their best work on “home field” track.

Captain Khumalo has gone on to say that he hopes that other racers who have the misfortune of playing reserve at PPV should look at the work of these two stellar racers as how to make it count on home turf.
