THE STEAMROLLER & THE FAMILY MAN

When John Kloof and Mandla Xulu teamed up last week in a relay race, no fan knew what to make of it. After all, these were bitter rivals. Well F-XQ was on the job.

We learnt that prior to the fateful event, it was none other than Kloof that had asked Mandla Xulu to team up. As it turns out, Kloof is not immune to the way things work in Formula-X and wanted to team up with his rival because not only did he think it would be a hell of a ratings boost with the story of bitter enemies turning team-mates, but that they would also be unstoppable.

One can be forgiven for believing Mandla agreeing to team up was exactly that. But alas, Kloof would find out the hard way that Mandla is still not afraid to wear the face of the villain when he walked out on Kloof in the middle of the race, and then challenged Kloof to a drag race at HEART-BREAK CITY.

Mandla would later post on Fame-Frame that the real reason Kloof approached him was because he needed to make money off of the ratings boost and the reason that he turned on Kloof was because Mandla realized that there was another way to make money, get the ratings and make an impact: face each other once again in a race they’ve never had: a drag race.
