The Caliber Kid
It wasn’t surprising to learn that Caliber Kid was frustrated. He’d said so on his Fame-Frame account. What was surprising was seeing the Dabula driver walk out on his relay teammate for the night right inthe middle of a race.
Touch decided to investigate the only way he knows how: by inviting the youngest F-X racer to Touching Base where he asked the obvious question — why?
“Well, as I said on my Fame-Frame account, I’m not happy that I’ve yet to appear on PPV. But as it turns out, I am sick and tired of it. Especially when I see other people, people like you, get opportunity after opportunity. And then what do you do with those opportunities, you squander them.”
Touch was quick to point out that getting to PPV is not just handed out, its earned either by popularity or skill and on top of that, he’d been given an opportunity to be the claimant and he couldn’t beat him. While Caliber Kid went on to vent his dislike for the part popularity played in getting by in F-X, Touch pointed out that he was coming across as a spoilt brat.
