February 15th - Season 2

The King of Hearts

Last night saw another exciting pay-per-view and it has been unanimously agreed that this was directly due to one of the greatest races in Formula-X between the still reigning F-X King Solo Magubane and the Claimant to the Crown, Thawn Oberhauser.

It was an adrenaline rush of a race that saw both racers scouting each other expertly with narrow passes and exquisite drafting techniques.

Critically acclaimed from the word go, the feature-race of Heart-Break City saw Captain Khumalo, on commentary, claiming that he hadn’t seen two racers who knew each other so well like the King and the Claimant.

And while their race and King Solo’s eventual victory was a big moment for the PPV, it turned out that it wasn’t over as Solo proved himself to truly be a franchise player when he introduced the Mayor of Ngelosi himself as a guest at the V-Day Dance on stage who proceeded to congratulate Formula-X and express how impressed he was with what was showcased.

The Mayor’s appearance was a complete shock to not just the fans and the F-X Racers, but also to the Club Committee including the showrunners. His presence was also covered by a news crew that captured the special moment ensuring that the rest of South Africa would get to see the it.

If Amandla’s Rebellion gave the Formula-X Series a taste of the provisional atmosphere, then this moment definitely gave the Series a taste of the National atmosphere. But it’s important not to count the chickens before they hatch.

After all, the Granddaddy of them All is yet to come. But is the enormous success of Heart-Break City is anything to go by, the Main Event of Motorsport will be off the chain.
